November beauty haul!

I have had a little spend up in Superdrug and Boots this week as I just can't help myself, I love trying out new highstreet makeup to try and find a budget alternative to some of my pricier favourites. This week I have found some gems that look like they will become makeup bag staples!

Firstly I just have to talk about this concealer, Kick Ass Concealer by Soap and Glory £10 (Boots), I have always used Laura Mercier secret camouflage which is an amazing product but at £26.50 is quite pricey for a cover-up, this product does exactly the same thing but also includes added extra! Step 1 is an under eye concealer, step 2 is a complexion correcting spot concealer and finally (the added extra!) step 3 is a transparent setting powder which keeps everything in place :-)  This really does work and having experienced a break out recently I can not praise it highly enough, all hail the kick ass concealer!!

Sorry about the different lighting, just couldn't get it right today! ahhhh

This is one of those life changing purchases as I have always taken forever to curl my hair, I love a lose curl with volume at the roots but trying not to dry out my colour treated hair is sometimes an issue. Here is my step by step routine adopted this week after my haul!

After washing my hair with Aussie colour mate shampoo and conditioner (I do like to switch it up and often change brands throughout the month) I use one pump of Frizz Ease Oil Elixir £4.97 (Superdrug) and brush through with my Tangle Teezer £10 (Boots, Cult buy!!) and blow dry. To add volume I  spray a little Superdrug Volumizing Dry Shampoo £1.13 into the roots (it really does work, adding a bit of umph!)

This is the life changing part, i'm not sure how I ever lived without this, the Babyliss Boutique Soft Curls Wand £30 (Boots) it is very easy to use and curls so quickly that my whole head is done within 10 minutes! Record time for me! The ceramic wand does get extremely hot but gives the option of 5 heat settings up to 210 degrees! I usually use the 195 degree setting.

I'm off out for lunch today with my oldest friend who has been in my life since primary school, I can't wait for a girl catch up! Just need to finish my look, all extra products used listed below.
